Vox Lite Update

I’ve not had much time over the past week or two for Vox Lite development due to more pressing development having to take place i.e. stuff that actually pays! Recently I started some freelance work for a company in Bradford West Yorkshire, which is working out good.

Hopefully this week I’ll be able to press ahead with fixing bugs and adding features to Vox Lite.

Vox Lite added to Feedster

The kind folks at Feedster (Scott Johnson) and QuickSub (Jason Brome) have added a Vox Lite subscription link.

Here's what you do to create a new subscription (btw, you don't need to have Vox Lite running, it will launch automatically)...

1. Go to http://www.feedster.com
2. Type in a search term e.g. Radiohead
3. Look for the RSS 2.0 button move your mouse over it. You should get a menu click on Vox Lite.
4. Hey Presto, you're subscribed!

New features…

Search bar. - Feedster, Daypop, Google, Rolling Stone, EBay, Yahoo.
Titles only view.
Displays publish date.
Extend and Retract items.
View All Items.
View Unread Items.
Purges old items. Reducing Memory Consumption.
Added option to open links in external browser.

I’ll be looking at making the search seamless in the future. Drop by the forum to post comments etc.

Vox Lite Version 1.0.10.0

Well, I finally got time to get this release in. It's not the feature packed release that I was looking for, but it addresses an important issue i.e. parsing all rss feeds, well formed or not.

I'm not going to set this version live in regards to the auto-update until I'm sure it works 100%. So if you're the adventourous type please download 1.0.10.0, install and post feedback on the results, good or bad...
