Recieved 'Programming Microsoft Windows with C#' from amazon today. I needed a book on developing desktop applications in .NET and this looks like it fits the bill. I'll post a review of the book when I've finished this 1000 page tome.

Working with ListView. "Conventionally, you use the ListBox or ComboBox controls to display a collection of items in a Windows program. However, if you want more flexibility and capability, you can use the ListView control. The ListView control looks exactly like the right pane in your Windows Explorer, and you can display items in one of four views. Each item is represented by the ListViewItem class. This article is a technical how-to on ListView and ListViewItem and offers three examples on how to use ListView". [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service: ONDotnet.com]

.NET Error Handling. "Take advantage of the .NET error handling paradigm. Learn to raise and respond to exceptions, as well as how to create your own custom exception classes." [MSDN]

A useful article on exceptions for VB .NET programmers, including some tips on when and when not to use exceptions.
